The “Accessing Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) Care” is an Institute for Reproductive Health (IRH) Philippines and World Diabetes Foundation (WDF) project. The aim of this project is to develop a model for gestational diabetes diagnosis and management in the local government settings, specifically in public health facilities. For the past three years, the Project Management Team (PMT) has implemented the project over four components: (1) mobilization and research, (2) capacity building, (3) monitoring of incidence and effects of treatment protocols, and (4) documentation and reporting.

This 2020, IRH PH takes the project one step further by using social media to reach more people in more places. With more attention online than ever before, we hope to engage a bigger audience to support our cause. And as the current COVID-19 pandemic forces us to adapt to a new normal, now is truly the best time to shift our advocacy efforts online. Help us set the stage for accessing GDM care in our local government units (LGUs). Let’s #BeatGDM for a #HealthyPilipinas!
